Veterinary Receptionist
Michelle has had love of animals ‘in her blood’ since she was very young. Even at the age of 4, she routinely begged her father to buy a pony and a paddock. Her dream of owning a horse would not be fulfilled until she was 34.
Michelle joined the Veterinary Industry in 1999, when she volunteered to work at Fox Valley Animal Hospital in Wahroonga whilst completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Despite other commitments, Michelle was able to secure a part-time position at the hospital and in this way retain her link to veterinary nursing.
In 2004, she was able to combine her love of animals with her administration experience, working as a hospital receptionist, greeting clients and pets. Michelle feels it was here she finally felt she had ‘arrived’ in the Veterinary industry, loving her role & making a real contribution as she quickly became a favourite of pets and clients alike, with her genuine empathy that was recognised by colleagues.
In 2009 Michelle broadened her experience and client liaison skills when she joined the Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) at North Ryde. Working for a company with extremely high standards, gave Michelle immense and invaluable experience.
