ROSE JACKSON

VETERINARY NURSE

Rose began her nursing days up here on the Coast in mixed animal practice and gained her Certificate IV nursing qualification from TAFE NSW in 2011.

To gain further knowledge and see the world Rose began her travels in 2014. First up was Asia, and the highlight was volunteering at an animal charity for 3 weeks on the island of Koh Chang, Thailand. Rose then travelled to Europe and settled in the UK where she was a locum nurse at various small animal practices for close to a year.

Upon returning to Australia in 2015 she moved to Sydney and accepted a nursing position at the Small Animal Specialist Hospital where she performed a nursing rotation throughout the various departments before settling in the treatment and dermatology areas. Mixed practice was something that she missed while away from the Coast so she decided to accept the role of head nurse when SAH opened in April 2016.

Overall, Rose thrives on variety in her nursing and is keen to develop her practical nursing skills wherever possible. In her free time, Rose enjoys spending as much time at the beach as possible, hiking, horse riding and road trips to visit friends. She hopes to soon have a Devon Rex cat of her own very soon!
